So my friends and family can be up on life here in GR

Girlfriends

Last night was a long awaited, much anticipated, well attended girls night! Hannah invited everyone over and we had a great group and so much fun! Great food, conversation and nails! I'm so blessed to have good friends to spend time with! Here are a few photos, I didnt get many, sorry!
The Lovely Ladies - And the food spread!

The fruit was for mini Fruit Pizzas! Delicious idea Hannah!

Jenn's Black and White Cookies - Yum!

So here's the question - I'm planning to run a 5k on Halloween, and of course they're encouraging people to wear a costume while they run. What should I be? Remember, I have to be able to run! I have a couple thoughts in my brain, but tell me what you're thinking!

Happy Thursday!

Seniors, Peers, Juniors

Thursday evening Jean Porter came over to my house to drop off a gift for me, she made a beautiful quilt and said she made and gave it to me for three reasons: 1. She had extra fabric 2. We both love cats and 3. Because she thinks I'm very special! How sweet! Thanks Jean!

Jean and Me with the quilt.
Then, in celebration of Miss Emily's new job, I went to dinner with my girlfriends. But it was really a celebration for me personally because I went for my first ride ever in a Mini Cooper! The love it growing! :) And what fortune, Em sells them now!

In the mini!!
Friday was the start of a fantastic weekend! I went with the jr high group from church on their service retreat to the Detroit area. Friday night we got there and played some classic hide-and-go-seek games in the dark, they have a great old three story building for such a game. Saturday we worked right downtown Detroit at the Youth for Christ building and grounds. We did a lot of yeard work and clean up, we basically took down a forest. In the evening we got cleaned up and went to Dave and Buster's, a jr higher's dream come true! Arcades as far as the eye can see! Jenn and I buddied up and worked hard to earn fabulous prizes! The girls were great and stayed up super late talking and pillow fighting! What a great weekend, here are some photos!

Saturday morning before we worked.

Sam and the boys clearing the forest, all the greenery was gone by the end.

Getting lunch ready with Jenn, ask Clara and Lydia about the hotdogs!

Enjoying lunch with friends!

Our teamo supreamo!

Fantastic jr high girlfriends! :)
Skiiiiiii Ball! we both were pretty bad...
The race tracks however provided much more winning, we were serious.
In the end we each took home The Dr Fart!
2 am Pillow Fight!!
The girls hanging around before bed.
Hope you all had a great weekend too! I also met Jack the dog today and got my car back, the Red Fox is foxier than ever with a shiny new bumper! :)
Happy Tuesday!

Double Elimination

Yesterday was the final night for church softball. We were in a double elimination tournament and hadnt lost yet, so it was either going to be one triumphal win or possibly 2 games with the 2nd as the deciding game. We dug a deep hole in the first game, rallied back but still lost by about 5 runs. In the second game we jumped out to a big lead, but slowly let it slip away. The game finally ended in defeat after 9 pm and in the dark. It was a great season though, here's a few photos --

63 Years

Today is my grandparents 63rd Wedding Anniversary, what a blessing to have great examples to follow! Here they are at my graduation, they've always been great sports about going to things and being interested in what I'm doing.

This weekend has been busy but great. Friday night I went with Jeff and mom and dad to a Cedarville chapter event. It was at Tunnel Park in Holland. It was rainy and wet, but still good to go and hear what's going on at the school. I'm so thankful for the biblical teaching and principles I learned while I was there. Not to mention the friends I made! :)
Saturday morning was an adventure! My friend Kari's uncle took Kari, Emily and myself out fishing on Lake Michigan! He does a trip most summers and I havent been able to go, I was glad it worked out this time. Unfortunately, the weather was a little prohibative. We got out, but turned back after only and hour, we didnt even attempt to fish, so the three of us went to breakfast instead. It was a fun thing to do, I think we're going to try again another weekend. Here's a few photos of our wild adventure!
6 am on the boat!
Seriously wild weather! Their fisherman friends told them not to bring girls out there!
Emily and Kari trying to stay dry and warm!
Sitting on the back of the boat with the poles, too bad we didnt use them!
Now here's something we're better at: Breakfast and coffee! :)
Kari's thinking about starting her own blog -- do it do it!
Happy Sunday to everyone!

Lunch Brake

It was my friend's 24th birthday today, so in celebration we went to Olive Garden. Unfortunately on the way back 'Dustin' was behind me and forgot to leave some space and brake when I braked. He ended up rear ending me -- poor little 'Red Fox.' Good thing I had already made an appointment with the body shop to have a different issue cleared up. Citizens Insurance just loves me!

On a happier note, we went to hear the Postema's update and had 14 girls 'Down on the Farm' tonight for girls night ---->
