A Royal Affair

It all started for me at 5:56 am when I walked into the lobby of the ymca, and caught a glimpse of Miss Kate Middleton's car making it's way to Westminster Abbey.  A flip switched and I was hooked for the day!!   I quick dropped my stuff in the locker room and ran upstairs to ride my royal bike and watch the gala affair with my bogo!  See kari's blog for my attire during the live event.

Then came the 'work day' in which I thought about the wedding a lot, and talked about it on several occasions with my girlfriends, including a celebratory lunch! :)

But the big event of my day came in the evening when I attended a Royal Watch Party!  We had so much fun dressing up and partaking in delicious food and conversation.

April Showers

Today it rained, then drizzled, then poured, then rained, then spit, then tornadoed (sirens and everything), then poured, then rained, and now it's sprinkling.  Tomorrow's forecast? More of the same.  

Also today, I went to a visitation for one of my friend's dad, which, as you can imagine, was rough and made me thankful for my dear ol' daddio!  So in the spirit of April rains, and giving your dad an extra hug and shout out I give you the favorite joke of my father and grandfather Verwys:

BSFeroo in living Cookie

As a thank you, a friend of mine hooked me up with some sweet new cookie cutters.  They come with letters you use to press messages into your cookies.  So not knowing what to do on a cold, blustery April evening, my friend Anna and I busted them out and made some good looking cookies - with a bsf twist on them!

We colored the dough, I've never done that, but it was fun! 

We went with and Easter pallet

Cut, pressed, baked and cooled

Turns out not only is Miss Anna here a Graphic Designer aka (insta Artsy), she also worked at a bakery in another life!  Amazing!

We also busted out some other shapes I had been wanting to try...

We did a little Easter free hand on the side too - cheep cheep! :)

Vera Vera Vera

Say Holla to: 

A day off, 4 am wake up call, driving 2.5 hrs, standing in line, shopping a mad house, 75 check-out lines, Chick-fil-A (ode to my other SIL),  driving 2.5 hours, and taking a nap!  Lindsay and I went down to the Vera Bradley outlet sale in Ft Wayne on Thursday, it was so fun - we had a ball!

This was check-out.  There were probably 75 registers, the whole process took less than 15 minutes from the time we walked in there until we were walking out with our stuff - efficient!

Is there a Chick-fil-A in Ft Wayne you think?!  YAAAAAAAA!  Andrea would be so proud.

Home with the loot, they upgrade your trash bag from pink to Vera when you check out :)

Design Design

This week as been a week of Warehouse Clearance Sales for me and such fun!  It all started Wednesday:

Our flock group got together Saturday night for a rousing rendition of Minute to Win It!  We had food (desserts really reigned supreme this time) and then it was game time!

Nose Dive - use your petroleum jelly nose to get 5 cotton balls from one bowl to another

Face the Cookie - get an oreo in your mouth by wiggling your face

Holy Rollers - roll marbles and stick them on double sided tape

Knock 'Em Dead - Knock over bottles with a potato in a panty hose

Orange Bowl - roll an orange into a hula hoop by knocking it with a potato in a panty hose

Sticky Bread - Bounce a ping pong ball so it sticks to a piece of bread with Peanut Butter

Stack 'Em - Stack 8 nuts on top of each other

Double Bubble - Blow a bubble then blow it through a hula hoop 10 feet away

Stick the Landing - toss a half full bottle onto a table and have it land upright

Friday Fish Fry

Friday was mom's birthday, and her greatest desire has been and was to go to a Friday night Fish Fry! So off we went to St. Alphonsus!
