Pink Day!

I have always really loved Valentine's Day, it's so fun with great colors, and a celebration of love!  I celebrated Valentine's Day all week by wearing pink, purple, or red everyday of the week!    

This year was fun to celebrate 'with' someone; I had a lot of fun putting his gift(s) together, baking cookies, and then packaging it all in a most darling way! :)

He sent me a beautiful bouquet of red tulips and then gave me a box of chocolates later.

There were a few other cupids flying around the Y and my neighborhood, they made Pink Day special for me too!

Dinner and a screening of Lincoln were also part of his gift to me.

I made cookies for my little man for his welcome to the world party!  I thought they turned out well, so I'll share them with you!

Over the weekend we had a shower for Lindsay, so Andrea and Clara came in too.  

It was fun having them here, Clara was so into Moses, it was cute to see them interact.  There's about 5 months between the two of them, amazing how they change in the first year!

Baby V HERE!

Before just baby Verwys was coming, now Baby Boy Verwys is here!!  We had a shower over the weekend to celebrate, it was so fun!  There were about 30 ladies there who love Lindsay.

The box said 2 weeks to bloom, let's make that more like 10! 

But at least it bloomed and didn't just die. 

And isnt it lovely?  

Missed Christmas, but it's just in time for Valentine's Day!

Saturday morning hockey

I cant think of a more fitting thing to do on a February morning with a foot of overnight snow than watching some pee wee hockey!  It was definitely bringing me back to the days of running around the rink with Kari while her brother played.

Mr. Will is playing in the GR Youth League, and doing so well!

Do I look more cultured?

I only ask, because I went to two plays in one weekend!

The first was Friday night after a lovely dinner, Mr. Sweet Senor took me to see Les Mis in theater!  I hadnt ever seen, read, listened, etc. and it was really good.  Now we want to watch the movie so we can catch a few more of the words!

 The next night, we took the Hoogenhopper Mice to see Hamie the Homie in the Wizard of Oz.  Our friend Katie played Dorothy, Hamie was Ms. Gulch, as well as a few other cameos!  Both did a wonderful job, the whole thing was very well done!

So, next time you see me if there's something different, it's just probably that I'm more cultured!
