So my friends and family can be up on life here in GR

'But be sure to fear the Lord and serve him faithfully with all your heart; consider what great things he has done for you.'

TC on a Thursday

Thursday I took the day off and drove north to Traverse City to see my Melissa. She's back in the great Mitten State for the summer and for the arrival of her baby! (Yay!) It was so great to spend a day kicking around together, looking at this and that, watching the World Cup and exploring new places.

Mmm pop and popcorn for lunch!

We made the drive up to Mission Point, it was so beautiful.  I took the snowy one on our honeymoon, almost exactly 6 months ago.

Okay baby! Now it's your turn to shine, cant wait to meet you!

Gather 'round the good stuff, and people

Happy Father's Day to a classic

 Happy I'm-so-glad-we're-friends-and-I-miss-you-terribly-when-you're-gone day!

And happy pizza in Holland with these people who are always a ray of sunshine on a gloomy day.

Here's to you! Cheers!

Sale of the Century!

It's the annual Kelsey St Sale. We're in this year. We're ALL in. My garage was full of junk!
The best part is, Moses came to GR for the week to help his Grammy clear out and organize! Joy!

Dude knows his priorities, Tigers baseball!

And then it began. And it was cold. brrr!

This was all that was left from Lindsay's things. I only had slightly more in my pile.

It's was a clearing out and cleaning up weekend, and now all the tables are gone and my garage is back. Start the collection for 2015!
I hate junk.

On Cloud Nine

Oh to be nine again! Peter and I got to pretend last weekend when we had his niece, Halee, come over for the weekend; not just any weekend either, her ninth birthday weekend! So what were we to do but stack it full of fun activities! It's for the birthday girl right?!?

Friday night she and her Uncle walked to the candy store. Two kids in a candy shop. One has money and neither has restraint! :) We tried to go to movies in the park, but when they had technical difficulties we scrapped it and got FroYo instead. Thanks Uncle Petey!

Saturday morning was birthday breakfast! By request: chocolate chip pancakes, hard boiled eggs, and bacon. Fruit? There's fruit in the house?! Dont be ridiculous.

Saturday afternoon we went to a grad party where we met up with our friends and their nine year old daughter Kylie. They hit it off, and Kylie spent the rest of the day with us! A trip to the Meijer Gardens was in order, and lots of fun! Aww Fred and Lena :)

After a quick nap at home for the ol' aunt and uncle, we were off and running again to the Whitecaps! It was not quite like the baseball games that Halee is used to with her brothers. Calling them the JV Tigers helped her get the idea. Treats were aplenty, thanks again Uncle Petey!

Sunday was church with her new friend Kylie, and then a wedding shower in Portage for her return. I think we wore her out, she napped all the way to kzoo. :)

Quotes of the weekend:
'Uhhh Aunt Betsy, I'm not really comfortable with Fran, can you please come get her?!'
and
'You cant ever know what boys are thinking.'

Happy ninth birthday Halee! We had a blast, come back soon!

Things we learned in Indy

Over the weekend I spent time in Indy with my tennis girlfriends and we learned a few things -

It's not that complicated to control major intersection traffic lights

An aisle worth of snacks and a selfie make for a super fun evening

Breakfast with girlfriends is delicious, and a literal ton of bacon is a must

We LOVE the JW Marriot and Floor 31

Ann Taylor Loft should just pay us to go away with all the deals we score

Allyson's neighborhood pool is beautiful and relaxing!

And mostly we learned that our friendship is sweet fellowship and a refreshing blessing from our merciful Savior.
