So my friends and family can be up on life here in GR

Cookie Time

Somewhere in April I also managed to make cookies
- woot! You go girl!
- thank you, thank you!

The first batch was the real deal and I thought they turned out cute, so cute!  The second batch was just because I still had icing leftover; icing, is more than half the battle :)

My kind of shoe box!

New star hire for my first day :)

Such fun, I love the glitters

When homies steal your phone

What is it about me that people feel free to swipe my phone and load it up with funny photos?
I suppose if that's the worst thing, I'm doing alright :)
Our preschool chapel helpers were being oh-so-helpful when they snapped these dandies:

Thanks for all your help girls!

Blushing Bride

To all my readers who might be a bride someday: take your cues from Kim as to how to be a blushing bride
It really has been a joy to celebrate with her mostly because her sweet attitude is so contagious!
Her party was no exception and so fun. Here's the visual evidence:

Tennis girls!

The finished products

I loved these two candid shots, always genuinely smiling and enjoying her friends - so sweet

Roger Rabbit anyone?!

See you all on May 1st! It's bound to be a great time too!

Baby's first Bonfire

We had baby Arie and his parents over for a visit last Friday and because the weather was so splendid, we had a bonfire too. Arie loved it. Zonked right out in approval.

It's really hard to find an ornament to document this occasion, so a blog post will have to do :)

Perfect Springtime

We've come to the conclusion that no one does perfect Spring weather quite like Washington DC. Simply pleasant. Being from here and going there in April is like fast forwarding a month of time.
Peter and I flew out last weekend, it had been a year since Peter had seen any of them, and it was good to catch up!

We started things off with Saturday morning soccer, all the fans were out!

Rita was a star and her team had a convincing 7-0 win!

Saturday afternoon brought Little League for Sam

And a fashion clothes swap for Andrea and me

For dinner we went to the famous 29 Diner, the juke box was a huge thrill!

And the food. Oh my! the food!

Clara was taken with talking to herself on the phone :)

My phone regularly gets absconded while visiting, it was locked, but the camera was still available.

Sunday selfies!

Uncle Peter is a huge hit with his reading, always a gaggle around him

Sunday afternoon Peter and I headed downtown for a hot date at Ford's Theater. Coincidentally, we visited just 2 days before the 150th anniversary of his assassination.

We continued playing tourist by walking the mall and checking out the cherry blossoms

Another absconding of my phone resulted in this:

Monday the kids were off school, we headed to the Native American Museum, the kids hands-on area was very fun and entertaining.

Basket weaving and listening to various bird calls

 Learning about kayaking

Lunch at the Zoo Bar

Afternoon at the zoo, this was the Amazonia - very cool!

Beautiful blossoms were everywhere!

There was a lot of hanging around the house too

It was a busy and fun trip, we're looking forward to seeing you again in June!
