All weekend we did nice things to celebrate my birthday, but I have to say, it just didnt feel like my birthday. It was wonderfully overshadowed by the bigger life events going on for us right now. Almost like my first 'motherhood' moment of learning to be selfless, my birthday (and so much more) now takes second place; this Bebe and preparing for him or her is more important.
The best part is, I liked it, I really did. :)
Breakfast out was followed by the ballet with the most beautiful dancing blue bird.
After the ballet we headed south for 5th grade girls basketball and late lunch with Peter's family at Chinn Chinn's (the most delicious Asian Bistro) to mark Uncle Bob's birthday and mine. The basketball game just happened to be hosted by Peter's elementary school, fun times on Memory Lane!
Sunday afternoon brought furry family time watching the Kitten Bowl and then a Super Pan of brownies with the youth groupies :)
When I pointed out that this was my last kidless birthday, Peter gave me the best gift by referring to me as a hot young thing! 35 weeks pregnant doesnt usually solicit titles like that, so I'll take it! :)
