For those of you who dont know, this is Nora, she's a doll! Her parents are Jamie and Becca, my good friends, and Jamie has a fantastic camera and an even more fantastic eye for photos - this being said, he wasnt around to take photos of Nora on Halloween, so these will have to do! She's a grape people, not 'awww balloon girl!' hehe enjoy -

Trick or Treat! I think she liked TTing in Auntie Jean's front hallway the best! :)

Fun at Work!

So I've noticed lately that I've been mostly posting about weekend activities. So to fix that I took the cam to work and took some photos - this was a good week for it. The Marketplace division does a pumpkin decorating contest, this year the theme was 'Games People Play' and they gave everyone a secret item that we had to incorporate - enjoy the photos!

This was my team - we had a spatula
This team had masking tape, they used it to make the floor

A Blowfish playing Go Fish - their item was babyfood

This was the team that won - they had toothpaste which they used for the dots

This team spray painted socks red for her bow!

Toilet brush slot machine - nice!

Good use of Triscuits!

Shoe horns for this team!

For the kids represented in our department we made candy bags - so much candy!

Hoogendyks came in to visit me, they're the charaters from Charlotte's Web!

Templeton eating cider and donuts in the Midway!

I think Eliza could fill in for me when I'm out!

More photos to come soon of a running Company of Ballerinas! :)
Happy Halloween!

Hockey and Hoopla

I apparently am living for the weekends, since they're the only thing I blog about! Work's good too, and seems to be getting better all the time, just ask sometime, but only if you want to hear about retailing restaurant quality foods for 30 minutes! :)
Friday night Jeff wanted to take Will and Wes to the Griffin's Home Opener. Work was giving out tickets, so he got four and set the date. The boys were so excited about going, here's some photos - enjoy!

We went to the Ritz Coney, Will was digging the shredded pickles!

Wes and Jeff were goofing around with their fries - Yum!

Me and Will just smiling for the cam

All four eating dinner at the high top

The first 5000 fans got glow in the dark mugs - the boys loved them, at the end of the game about 250 people chucked theirs onto the ice, it was pretty funny, some of the mugs broke and the neon glow went all over the ice! Delay of game.

I think this was right before Wes told us when he gets big he wants to play hockey with Dad, Will and Dakota! They thought a skating dog was a funny thought! :)

I dont have any photos - my hands we covered with sticky apples! But this weekend was one of the best days of the entire year - HARVEST HOOPLA! We made 20 Mile High Apple Pies on Saturday! And ate some very delicious soups, salad, bread, corn bread, and of course apple pie! I love spending the day with friends, making the pies, and sharing a meal - it just is full of what Autumn and the harvest season is all about!
Thanks to 'Monday Night Beverly' for leading Bible Study tonight - she did such a great job! That's something about the week that I really love, I always feel refreshed after I go, what a special group of ladies and time of encouragement and learning.
Feliz Lunes todos!

Unplanned Weekend

This weekend was so fun and I really had no definite plans going into it. I knew Friday night with Kari and Saturday morning with Susan, but other than that - nothing. It was just nice to have fun, work on projects, and catch up with friends! Enjoy the photos -

Nothing says rockin good Friday night like a trip to the fabric store!

Kari and I both commented on how much we hated the fabric store as kids because our moms would take FOREVER in there! Silver glitter anyone?

Elastic waistbands - ahhh

Snip snip snip 18 yards of tulle!

Ta Da! I'm ready to run!

Saturday morning I had brunch with Susan my RD from college. She was in town for a wedding - Terri and Joel's, big congrats to them - so we went to the Real Food Cafe, my fav! It was so good to see her, and to hear how life has changed but God is good, I felt so encourgaed after talking with her!

On my way home from Alger Heights and brunch, I stopped into the Hoogendyks. They had 7 kids this weekend, whoa! But, they had plans to go to a horse barn and invited me along, what a great way to spend a beautiful afternoon!
Wes and I are checking out the horses

Eliza Mae riding the ponies - like 4 times!

Will got in on the riding action too!

So did Marta, but here we're just hugging! :)

I also spent time chatting with Melissa and hung out with Jeff on Sunday night. This weekend I was reminded how blessed I am to have great friends! More great memories coming soon!
