Not quite Nemo

Miss M went swimming for the first time the other evening. Let's just say, even with a darling flamingo suit, we're not quite there yet :)

We've kept trying with a bit more success, maybe by the end of the summer?? :)

It was great to catch up with friends and spend some time on the beach together the other night.

Summer Softball

I've been going to church softball games for years, sitting on the sidelines, chatting with moms and playing with kiddos. Now I have my own kiddo! and it's so fun!!

Birthday Boy

The celebrations just kept on rollin' for our birthday boy!

Sunday we celebrated at Charley's Crab with his parents. Monday he had the day off and we spent it together out and about. Tuesday, the actual day, things were a little more routine: work, softball, dinner. My mom offered to host dinner, which was perfecto rather than debating going to Wendy's or McDazzles like we usually do after softball :)

Hi! I'm FOUR months!

Month FOUR, can it be?!

She was pedal to the baby metal and never looked back!

Rolling. Everywhere. All. The. Time.

Talking. All. The. Time.

Moved upstairs to her cribby and bedroom.

Moved up a diaper size.

Developed more of a routine.

Nursing like a seasoned pro.

Reading with daddy at night.

Would rather sit up than lay about.

Aware. Watches the kitties walk past.

Holds objects handed to her.

Drool and bubbles. All things to my mouth for inspection!

Loves TV or flicker box as we call it.

'Helps' me: get her out of her car seat by arching her back, get changed by lifting her legs, get dressed by not minding things going over her head.

Watched Serena win her 22nd grand slam and loved Wimbledon in general :)

At her four month check she weighed 11 lbs. 14.5 oz.  and was 2' 1" tall. That puts her in the 9th percentile for weight and 76th for height - long and lean...that's us! ha!

We've had a good month, I no longer have a little infant, just a baby now. :)

Why didnt we think of printing the road sign on stickers and shirts and selling them?! Genius.

Also genius is visiting. Glen Arbor is as breathtaking as I've heard and now we've driven M22 so the encouraging stickers worked:)

Off we went!

We had lunch with Uncle Marv and Cousin Mos (Aunt Linds and Gin Bear too)

Bebe had her toes dipped in Lake Michigan for the first time! Not a fan to say the least :)

Happy Birthday America!!! 

We loved relaxing in celebration of you! Shouldn't all birthdays be this relaxing?!

Friday night we hoped to go to a ball game at 5/3 Ballpark, only to find out they were playing in Dayton, OH at 5/3 Field...oops! So out for Mexican we went then back home for jammies and Wimbledon!

Saturday we celebrated 50 years of wedded bliss with friends from church and FOUR birthdays with Peter's family in South Haven! What an event - Happy Birthday to all!

Sunday was a most patriotic church service, a lazy afternoon, and a lovely sunset at Kettle Lake!

Monday was the big day! We celebrated by walking to breakfast as a family, BIG napping, and a backyard party with friends.

In all of the excitement, I dont think I actually saw a real firework, just heard them in the neighborhood :)

Celebrate Summer!

Summer has only just begun, the youth groupies have gone to camp, we've had a back yard SNAC, and the girls are inviting themselves over. 

I love it! and so does Little Miss M. :)

Monday brought four friends for Miss M. We played games, cooed together and allowed me to do some other household tasks!
