Matchy Matchy

Twice in the last week I've shown up wearing either the identical thing as someone else, or something Oh-so-similar!  How funny!  Good things they're my besties with great taste! :)

Gap Sweaters!  When we went out shopping we convinced Sarah to get it in black!

When I bought this dress the Saturday before, I thought 'Oh, Anna has one just like it.'  When I showed up Tuesday night I thought, 'Oh Anna's wearing it!'

Here's to a great week, and stylish friends! :)

My Dad...the Rockstar

Happy Birthday Dad!

The 25th was his actual birthday, and for lunch we met at Cheers, Dad's version of Cheers anyway because it's the place where everybody knows his name, Real Food Cafe!

Honestly, we he walks through and you'd think a celebrity had just rocked up!  'Hi Phil!', 'Oh hey Phil', 'Who's with you Phil?', 'Where are the other guys Phil?', 'I always thought you were the boss Phil!'  It's hilarious! Anywhoo the food was so good as always and the company was great!  Happy Birthday Dad!

This weekend promises to be fun filled!  Hope you have a great one too!

Jim's, Pat's or Geno's?!

Jim, Pat and Geno have a corner on the Cheesesteaks that Philadelphia is known for -  over the weekend I had the distinct privilege to enjoy one from Pat's!  And let me just say, SO YUM!  Here are a few highlights from our whirlwind 'Gotta get to the airport' trip to Philly!

Before devouring Cheesesteaks we saw a Philly classic - LOVE

Say Holla to Pat's

Don't Eat a Misteak

Geno's is more famous and right across the street, I was heckled here while eating my Pat's steak, I felt like I was getting a true Philly experience

Once you have the steak, all things are in color - Those steaks you see here are 'Two steaks Wiz and Wit' Get it right or get in the back of the line!

Three first timers!

And Clark, our fearless Philly Guide!

At this point we ran back to the car, and jumped on the highway so Sarah could catch her flight that was leaving in 45 minutes!  (She made it no trouble)

It was such an amazing weekend! I'm so blessed to have wonderful friends in all different parts of this beautiful country we live in.  Again, Happy Birthday Alisa, and MANY more! :)

The Doorbell Means Surprise!

Saturday night was another surprise for Ms Alisa!  Our Black and white dresses were hanging in the doorway when we got home from shopping, and some more friends starting ringing the doorbell shortly thereafter!  Mel the driver pulled up with our ride for the evening and after a few appetizers, we were off!

Once again, kudos to the great Chef!

Quarter of a Cent-Cherry!

 Limo Ride!

Keep it classy Cedarville? Waiting for dinner at the Asian Bistro: y-u-m.

My date for the evening :)  Playing Uno for keeps!

Amazing birthday cake - again, way to go Chef Clark!

Blowing out the candle - make a wish!
What a great evening; food, friends, and my first ride in a limo!  Great experience for sure! :)

Check back tomorrow for some Brotherly Love!

FedEx Box is on the Front Porch

At least this is what Clark told Alisa, but when she opened the door, there was no FedEx, just Sarah and me standing in the cold!  SURPRISE! Happy Birthday!
Here are a few photos and explanations from a great weekend - check back tomorrow for more, I didnt want the world's longest blog post!

Blokus on a Friday night -

Chef Clark

Who loves Gap Sweaters?! We do! Matchy Matchy on Saturday!

It's Your Special Day - wedding gift in action!

See, Amish.

Greetings from a darling little touristy place with lots of great shops! :)

What's a tennis reunion without an Irish Pub popping up somewhere?!

Dressing room snafu, things like this never happen when you're by yourself!  All in the name of trying on another size!

We were supposed to be going home, but every Tennis Rebel knows you go to Sonic when you're supposed to be (ahem) somewhere else!

And so we've made it through Saturday afternoon, next was the Limo Ride and dinner!

I had a great weekend, and I hope you did too!
Thanks for sharing with me! :)

Other necklace

After I posted my pom pom necklace project, I realized that before Christmas I made another necklace but didnt post about it because it was a gift for the Sisters-In-Law! So here's another necklace that this same friend found!  I believe it too is a Little Miss Momma creation...that girl's good!

So here's the necklace...

And the girlfriends who helped...

And a girl and her bogo...

And an action shot!

The necklaces were a big hit (whew!) I just love projects like these!
Happy Day!

Excuse me, where's the nearest Fabric Store?

On Monday I crafted a cute little necklace that a friend of mine saw.  She found it on a darling blog, and the tutorial is here.  Now, I will warn you, while Little Miss Momma pointed out that the necklace was easy to make (true), she failed to mention that it is time consuming

So First I went to the Fabric Store - am I turning into my mother or what!?  The smell alone made me flash back to my childhood and all I wanted to do was hurry and get outta there!  but I found these dandies in the clearance bin -

But GREAT NEWS! - if I bought 3, I got an additional 33% off! Holla! Deal shopping in the Fabric Store...now I really am my mom.

Since Little Miss Momma's tutorial is here, and way better than mine, I wont go into full detail - but I cut the felt circles first

Then I cut the fabric circles.  LMM says to do them about the same size, which I did, but if i had it to do over, I'd cut them a little bigger, fyi.  So then I got busy gluing...and gluing....and gluing!  First I glued scrunched fabric circles to felt circles, then I glued all of the felt circles to more felt, then glued the chain to the felted pom poms.

Voila! New necklace! And so many compliments on it!

Inspired?! It's really not hard, just pop in a dvd and get your glue on!
Happy Thursday!

Good to Know Monday

Happy Monday! :)
