It is Pure Michigan skipping rocks on the Platte River, walking alongside Lake Michigan, and climbing Sleeping Bear Dunes!  

Last weekend I went up north and experienced Michigan in all her glory:

I went with our high schoolers to gymco the other day for an outing, it was SO fun running around like a maniac!

A Lovely Weekend

What better place to kick up your heels with your friends than the shores of Lake Michigan?  Truly Pure Michigan if you ask me!  We had fun, tried new things, and it was wonderful.  When's the next trip?!

Gold Standard! Coyote Cafe; Holland, MI.  Review: A delightful surprise!  most non cafe/sandwich shops arent able to make much of this sammy, but the Coyote did a great job.  Swirl Rye is never a bad place to start!

Giving Thanks

Isnt just for November anymore! not that it ever was!

This morning as I sat eating breakfast I began to look around and name things I was thankful for, and things popped to my head faster than microwave popcorn, which I suppose, I could add to the list!  Who doesnt love that stuff?!  But really, things like good friends, co workers, my roommate, my salvation and hope, beautiful weather, health, promises of God, the list goes on, and on, and on - I suppose, that's really something I could add to the list, the fact that there are SO many.

I've been looking for bookends lately, but just not finding the right thing.  Until I walked through Gram's basement.  Not only were they great, she made them!  

And now they're mine, and looking great in their renewed life location of my bedroom.
