I love My City

Where else is the weather perfect in September, you can visit an apple orchard and pumpkin patch and get cider and doughnuts straight from the farmer, who also happens to be your friend's dad?  And on the same day, go to a botanical garden, shop in your neighborhood produce store and buy specialty cheese from another friend's dad.  Watch a Big Ten football game, and top it all off with a trip to Art Prize?

I work for a great company, but, honestly? I didnt work in a great location, it was basically a glorified pole barn.  But not anymore!  No, I didnt quit, we all got a MAJOR upgrade!

Down on the Farm

Sweets grew up on a farm, his parents still live there, and I wanted to see the land.  So we went out the other night and explored.  Turns out I'm ridiculously farm ignorant, I dont think I had ever been in or that close to a corn field, aside from a haunted maze (doesnt count). 

It was SO beautiful.

I guess the song is right after all.

These are some good days of life.  We just had a new baby born into the family, and now Marvin and Lindsay are expecting their first little lamb chop in January.  

As a family, we are so blessed.  

So it was great fun getting together in Boyne to celebrate Lindsay's birthday!
