It was a birthday, warm summer days are here, and school's almost out; it's time to gather.

Isn't it funny how sometimes you can plan for months and never get people together and sometimes Saturday evenings are just free?!

Bring on the free!!!!!

Career move

Friends, and family, is really what made up the best part of my working days. I did a lot of growing in the 8.5 years I spent working for Gordon Food Service and I'm so thankful for the opportunities it afforded me. 

So, it was a little strange to go for the last time, clean out my desk, and leave my trusty badge on my supervisor's desk. Truly the end of an era for me.

So long! Farewell! Blue skies and sunny days ahead!

Month three was a month for settling in.

Went to the zoo

Started having cooversations

Notices her mobile

Can half roll from side to tummy or back

Laughed!

Visited mom's (old) office

Went to the Ford Museum

Notices her hands

Trills with her lips

Notices and loves screens!

Is very friendly :)

Rubs her eyes when she's tired.

Gathers things to her mouth.

Celebrating all Memorial Day weekend!

This year Memorial Day weekend was for celebrating!

We celebrated Nicholas' High School graduation with big smiles! Go Comets!

Happy Golden Birthday Ginny Bear!

We celebrated the day with a parade and some time at the lake

Hi! I'm TWO months!

Month two was a big one for little Miss Molly!

Lots of cooing and smiles

9 lbs. 6 oz. at her two month check.

Got her first vaccines

Had a little baby acne

Still has fuzzy fur on her ears :)

Walked to Kingma's with mom

Smiles on purpose at mom, dad, and most people who catch her right

Went to nursery

Visited Kalamazoo

Stretches her arms over her head

Was dedicated at church

Met all of her cousins and Aunt and Uncles

Slept 8 hours...once. Regularly sleeps 5 hours.

Went to her church shower and VanHorn family shower

Visited Washington DC

Still wearing NB diapers but has mostly moved into 3 month clothes.

Went through my old clothes and started wearing them

We seem to be settling in to life. She's nursing better, sleeping regularly and is in general very happy.

We are too!

Into the East

Go big or go home. Why shouldnt baby's first road trip be a BIG one? We packed up two vehicles and headed East for Washington DC! Everyone did really well, it was a great time!

Ginny did a lot of this on the ride and Moses found a gun (of course) at a stop.

Molly was a happy happy girl, I was too and relieved!

She got to meet all of her cousins! yay!

We had fun watching the kids in the activities they're involved with

Saturday morning soccer with Ellen; she scored four goals, routed the other team, and had no idea if they won or not! Oh to be six again!

Molly loved spending time with her cousins and Aunt Andrea and Uncle Nate

Saturday afternoon soccer for Rita and a little time with Clara and a little drama ;)

We found out how Lindsay finishes so many quilts, child labor! Poor Ginny!

Sam really loved to just sit and hold Molly. Marta was so cute and sweet, covering her and saying, 'Shhh! Baby's sleeping!'

Happy 12th Birthday Grace. Seems hard to believe!

Sam turned out to be the Molly Whisperer. and by the end Rita finally figured out the difference between Molly and Virginia!
