An exquisite autumn day

The weather was storybook perfect so we hopped in the car and went to the Gardens, it couldnt have been better! I kept walking and praying that it would be etched in my memory as a point of thankfulness for the days that arent so sunny or warm, and not just the weather.

We walked to DaVinci's Horse and had the place to ourselves, a wonderful, wonderful afternoon.

She loves Fall, it even tastes good!

It's apple season and boy do we have apples this year! 24 quarts of sauce in my basement, rings drying in my oven, and fritter recipes on the docket. YUM!

Is starting to sleep more like 9-9
Started to waive a bit
Pulls cords

Does a funny left leg kick

Pulled over the kitty's food

Had a babysitter!

Here, at this household, we love food. For us, vacations, are as Jim Gaffigan puts it, just excuses to eat food not at our house. When we are home, I feel like I'm always in search of a recipe, making a grocery list or prepping food. All this to say, we werent at all surprised that Ms. Bebe loved trying some food for the first time. We tried a few weeks ago without much success, but that was just boring rice cereal. On vacation, a time that's always good for trying something new, she was handed a cracker and loved that, had some ice cream tastes that equaled love (duh), and then some grits too! When we got home I broke out the carrots, and yum! yum! yum! :)

She seems to do better with Peter feeding her, which is great!

It's slow going now, one new food at a time; but welcome to livin' bebe! Welcome to food!

Art Prize!

Last year in order to see Art Prize with Kari and Arie I played a little hookie using sick time after a Dr's appointment. Not so! this year! I just took that little baby lovie with me and we had a great afternoon!

They loved riding in the backseat together :)

The Grand Hotel

We kicked around a lot of ideas for vacation this year and finally landed on visiting the Grand Hotel on Mackinaw Island! We enjoyed our stay and the chance to check things out at the famous hotel!

The flowers at Margaret's Garden were SO beautiful, I kept lingering around them whenever I could! They made the entire lower level smell fresh and fabulous!

For dinner #2 little Ms. stayed with Melva the Jamaican grandmother babysitter :)

Let's go guys! back on the mainland and ready to roll!

We stopped to see Marv and Linds in Boyne on our way home. Little girls just LOVE to play together already!
