So my friends and family can be up on life here in GR

Turns out

So as it turns out our kitty niece is the laziest of all felines.  I mean truly.  I've never met such a lazy little one!  I think she has picked up on her mother's desire for max comfort. Fran takes cat napping to a whole new level, 'Cat Passing-Outs' perhaps is a better descriptor for her naps. I really cant even get an alert Fran photo.

One night before heading out to dinner on the other side of town with friends, I flopped the blanket over Fran just to see what she'd do. I know what Regina would do, and that is freak out, spring off the couch, and run away!
Fran stayed. We left. We returned. We couldnt find Fran. I flipped the blanket back. I found Fran. Unmoved. 3 hours.

This is how we found her Sunday after church.  I asked Peter if he had covered her before we left. No. She burrowed for max comfort.

Be jealous feline community. Be jealous.
And the best news of all?  We're looking at having her for quite some time!

The Butterflies!

The butterflies have bloomed at the Meijer Gardens!
Peter and I are thoroughly enjoying our membership.  We've been 3 times in the last 2 weeks!

Great gift from my honey love.

Overnight, not All Nighter

The key between the two is an overnighter means there will be some sleep, and allnighter not so much. It's official, we're really too old for those kinds of shenanigans. We had a good time, even if I did need an early bed time and nap on Sunday!

Coordinating pillowcases are a must :)

Late night Pizza Rolls!

Lots of games, including Bunco, a prize auction, dark church games, and a showing of Frozen!

 Mmmm breakfast!

Most of these photos courtesy of Graham Potato Chip.  He's the man with a new cam!

You look so domestic

That's what my grandma told me recently! Joy!  I almost didnt invite her to Sunday dinner because I was making my first ever pot roast and I was too terrified to screw it up in her presence.  She and mom were gracious in their approval though.

We've been busy making the house into our home. Wedding gifts are put away, guestrooms are bedrooms again (and ready to be used!), the mantle is decorated, I did a little lamp shade project, and the kitchen and dining room look presentable.

My Big Strong Man has been triumphing around the house as well!  So proud! So thankful!  He installed our new headboard, did weather stripping on the front door, patched and painted the bathroom wall, fixed the drain, and cleared out the boxes from our breezeway!  Supa Dupa man!

Next up: figuring out wall hangings...daunting.

Happy St. Paddy's Day!

St. Patrick's Day isnt really a huge deal in my life, but I do like to wear some green.  This year my office celebrated with green floats and for dinner we enjoyed an Irish feast at my mom's which was excellente!

Sprite and green sherbet in the afternoon and Irish soda bread, boiled cabbage, potatoes, corned beef and carrots for dinner - yum!

What a lucky girl!

#FraninGR

Peter and I got the thrill of all thrills this weekend when another kitty came to live with us! Joy!
Marv and Linds needed somewhere for their traveling flea circus to land on all four feet for a little while, and Kelsey St. had her arms wide open.

So far there's been growling, hissing, and batting. A little bit of purring, snuggles, and sniffing too.

Fran's sleeping location for day 1 and Regina's, she's decided to be very protective.

Day 2 Fran slept a bit better

More fuzzy fun to come I'm sure!
